Elisa A. Mancuso RNC-NIC, MS, FNS, AE-C, ANA-NY President said: “This is an historic moment for nursing! New York State is leading the way to make sure all nurses provide the highest quality and safest care to patients and families. This law facilitates a pipeline of nurses who can go on to advanced studies to be the nursing faculty and leaders of the future.”
ANA President Pam Cipriano, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN said: “The American Nurses Association extends congratulations to ANA-New York and to all who worked to make the law a reality. Since a BSN-prepared nursing workforce is linked to better patient outcomes, this law is something every nurse can celebrate.”
