Additional Information

Through a federal SAMHSA State Targeted Opioid Response Grant, NY State OASES is training thousands to recognize, respond to and reverse opioid overdoses using naloxone (Narcan) intranasal spray. Each participant will learn the basics of an opioid overdose, and how to use their personal rescue kit (provided) to reverse them.


Lauren Bendall currently works at the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services as the Opioid Overdose Training Specialist within the State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis. Lauren previously worked within outpatient treatment, working with patients specifically diagnosed with Opioid Use Disorder. Lauren graduated from Russell Sage College in 2015 with her Bachelor’ of Science and is currently pursuing her master’s in public health. Lauren Resides in Troy, NY with her dog.
